Amazon slashed the pricing of the Fire Phone recently to just $199.99. But as it turns out, that pricing was only valid for a short period as Amazon didn’t take long to increase the prices again.
The retailer is now back with the $200 pricing for the smartphone, but we’re not sure for how long. This deal also includes an year’s worth of Prime services for free which comes with perks like expedited shipping on certified items and access to unlimited music and TV Shows.
Price cuts like these are much expected considering the rut that Amazon is in right now. The company is hopeful that the second iteration of the Fire Phone will turn things around, so things might be different later this year.
To refresh your memory, the Fire Phone comes with a 4.7 inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a series of camera for depth focusing features and a forked version of Android running Amazon’s Fire OS. The smartphone doesn’t have access to Google’s apps like Gmail, Play Store etc. But there are multiple alternatives available out there which serve the same purpose.
