A Chinese source has managed to uncover some screenshots which were reportedly taken from the Sony Xperia Z4 smartphone. The leak also confirms that the upcoming Sony flagship will be launched in a dual-SIM variant as well. There’s no word on whether Sony will unveil the smartphone next week along with other major manufacturers, although previous leaks have suggested that customers will have to wait a couple of months to see the Xperia Z4 in action.
The screenshots reveal a very familiar Android 5.0 interface with some subtle changes. The dialer app seems to have been reworked, so it’s clear that Sony won’t keep this stock. One screenshot also reveals the presence of the Snapdragon 810 chipset (MSM8994) chipset, indicating that Sony won’t hold back as far as the hardware specifications are concerned.
The screenshots don'[t reveal a whole lot more about this flagship, but we should have word on the rest of the hardware very soon. The Xperia Z4 could be a vastly improved version of the Xperia Z3 which was unveiled in September last year. Rumored hardware specs include a 5.2 inch display, 3GB of RAM, water/dust resistance, a 20-megapixel camera, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and a handsomely sized battery pack.
Have a gander at the leaked screenshots below.
