Xiaomi is a major player in China and its surrounding regions. The manufacturer only recently unveiled its two new phablet smartphones, the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro. The former went on sale today in China and the response has been pretty impressive according to the company.
It is believed that the smartphone took only three minutes to go out of stock, speaking volumes about the demand for Xiaomi phones in its home region. Those who missed out on today’s flash sale can seek solace in the fact that Xiaomi is expected to hold more sales over the coming weeks, so not all hope is lost.
Although selling out of inventory in 3 minutes is quite impressive, Xiaomi has failed to divulge details on the actual sales numbers, so we can’t really jump to conclusions as of yet. We will get a better idea of the demand for the smartphone over the course of the next month or so.
The company is expected to launch the Mi Note Pro sometime soon, which is a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4.
