Sprint now has a nice little promotion for customers switching over from T-Mobile with a promise of getting back at least $550 in early termination fees and other expenses. The $200 out of this is for the trading in the new device, while the remaining $350 will be used to pay off the smartphone that you got on T-Mobile. Since early termination fees only apply to contract devices, you can only use this amount to pay off the remaining full retail price of the device on T-Mobile.
Sprint has offered something similar in the past by promising to cut your bill in half when you switch over from AT&T or Verizon and the carrier has now set its eyes on T-Mobile as well.
“Year after year Sprint continues to lead the way among all major U.S. carriers for its phone trade-in program because they make it easy and rewarding for their customers,” said Kate Pearce, director of mobility research and senior wireless consultant at Compass Intelligence. “Their program allows the flexibility and financial benefit customers are looking for when they’re thinking about upgrading to a new phone or switching carriers.”
This promotion will last until the 9th of April, so you have some time to make up your mind. Sprint is also educating users about cheaper monthly costs on unlimited plans compared to the competition.
