Samsung is reportedly working on overhauling the Kies software which is used to connect Samsung smartphones to desktops. While this software is seldom used, the company clearly has faith in it and would want to ensure that the new version draws more users towards it.
There’s no word on what Kies 4 will bring, but we’re guessing there will be multiple UI changes, possibly in line with the new version of TouchWiz. It is possible that Samsung will show off the software along with the Galaxy S6 in March, so there’s still some time left before we get to see it in action.
For those unaware, Kies allows users to transfer media content onto their devices, backup contacts and even check for software updates manually. On some occasions, Samsung even recommends pulling an update using the Kies software, so it’s a very useful software to have on your computer.
If you’re already a user of Kies, this should come as welcome news to you as the current iteration could use some redesign. What sort of features are you expecting to see on Kies 4? Leave your thoughts below.
