According to a survey conducted by the University of Michigan, customers have been more satisfied with Samsung products than Apple’s new range of flagship handsets. This is a remarkable achievement for the Korean manufacturer given that Apple has always been leading the market with regards to customer satisfaction.
This survey which is part of the American Consumer Satisfaction Index was conducted among 230 brands and included 70,000 customers. Since we’re speaking strictly of smartphones here, Samsung attained a satisfaction score of 81%. Apple on the other hand slipped from a satisfaction score of 81% to 79% before the end of 2014. Perhaps the infamous iPhone 6 Plus bendgate scandal had a part to play in the company losing crucial scores among the customers.
As for Samsung, it’s certainly good news given that it has increased over last year’s score by 6.6%. While surveys are usually not good indicators of the success or failure of a product, Samsung can certainly take some inspiration from these new findings.
