A new leak on Twitter has revealed what is believed to be Huawei’s upcoming “compact” smartphone. This device known as the Mate 7 Compact is reportedly a smaller version of the Mate 7 phablet which was launched not too long ago.
Speaking of the size, the Mate 7 Compact is expected to pack a 5.5 inch display on board, so it’s not all that “compact“. We’re treated to a glimpse of the front as well as the back of the smartphone, although there’s no way to confirm their authenticity at this point.
There aren’t a lot of details on the hardware aspect of the smartphone, so most of our data is based on previous rumors and speculations. It is said that the device could use Huawei’s custom made Kirin 930 SoC, which is expected to feature in most of the company’s upcoming smartphones.
As is the case with leaks of this nature, we recommend you to take it with a grain of salt until there’s further confirmation. We don’t have to wait long now with the MWC right around the corner.
