Although the smartphone industry is buzzing with reports of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the HTC One M9, we tend to forget that even LG has a new flagship in store – the LG G4.
The company has now announced that this smartphone will officially hit the markets in Q2 2015. This effectively rules out a MWC time announcement of the smartphone, which is a little disappointing for us fans.
It is possible that LG is targeting a May release for the device, much like the LG G3 which was announced around the same time last year. A rumor from earlier today suggested that the G4 might be packing a “3K” resolution display, so there’s a lot to look forward to for the fans.
Along with confirmation of the release timeframe, an LG executive has also offered details on the hardware of the smartphone. It is said that the LG G4 will pack a substantially improved 20.7-megapixel camera sensor on the back with optical image stabilization. The device is also expected to be sporting a pixel dense display (probably 3K) along with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
