Over the course of the weekend, a new teaser posted by HTC confirmed that its new flagship smartphone, the One M9 will officially break cover in global markets on the 1st of March. This is in stark contrast to what was originally believed.
In fact, the 1st of March is a couple of days before the MWC kicks off, so the company will have its flagship in front of the world before the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Sony Xperia Z4 and the rest make their way to the markets.
The HTC One M9 is expected to be packing a 5 or 5.2 inch 1080p display, a 20-megapixel camera on the back, an octa core Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a decently sized battery.
It has been said that the smartphone will also have a 4-megapixel front facing camera, which is the same as the rear camera on the One M8. HTC doesn’t seem to be too drawn towards the QHD display race, so it’s understandable that they’re deciding to stick with a 1080p panel.
