Prepaid carrier Boost Mobile will officially bring the midrange Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE to its network on the 19th of January, according to a new announcement. The pricing for this budget handset has been set at $129.99 off contract, which is quite attractive for a LTE handset.
The smartphone is sporting a 4.5 inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a 2-megapixel front camera, a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 2,000 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat. To make up for the measly internal storage space, Samsung has added a microSD card slot which can take cards of up to 128GB on the smartphone.
The Galaxy Prevail LTE is HD Voice ready and makes use of Boost Mobile’s enhanced LTE networks, so you’re getting your money’s worth. The smartphone succeeds the first gen Galaxy Prevail which was quite successful on Boost Mobile. The carrier will hope to leverage some of that popularity with this new offering.
