Just as the ZTE Spro 2 projector/WiFi hotspot went live yesterday, AT&T has now announced that it will be exclusively launching the device in the U.S. This Android based device can perform a multitude of tasks in addition to acting as a projector and a WiFi hotspot for up to 10 devices.
The device also comes with a 5 inch display, letting users enjoy media content on the go. It’s versatility will certainly appeal to a wide range of consumers. At this point, AT&T has merely given a tentative early 2015 release timeframe and hasn’t divulged much details on the pricing of the device, but we expect it to be somewhere close to or under $200 given what’s on offer.
“The ZTE SPro2TM combines the speed and reliability of an AT&T 4G LTE mobile hotspot with the ability to connect up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices” said Jeff Bradley, SVP, Device Marketing and Developer Services, AT&T. “AT&T customers will also enjoy features such as the added value and convenience of an Android powered, portable projector, a 5-inch touchscreen, and built-in battery power.”
