So you have a 2014 Moto X that you bought from Wind Mobile and an Android 5.0 update notification has just popped up. Well, your first instinct would be to instantly press that download button and get your hands on all the Material Design elements that you’ve seen or heard of. However, multiple reports are now mentioning that the smartphone suffers from a boot-looping issue after downloading the update.
Boot-looping essentially means that the device gets stuck in the boot up screen and doesn’t go any further. The extent or the actual cause of this issue is not known yet.
So if you have a 2014 Moto X that you bought from Wind Mobile, it might be wise to hold off for a bit. The issues were first posted on the Reddit thread (link below), so you can go through it and understand the issues that other users are facing.
Luckily for the customers, Wind Mobile has acknowledged this issue and has mentioned that a fix is being worked on with Motorola. So it could be resolved very soon by the looks of it. Are you facing troubles with your Moto X after the Android 5.0 update? Let us know below.
