Reports from a couple of days ago mentioned that Google could be looking to launch the LTE Nexus 9 today. But it seems like those reports were premature as the carrier has delayed the launch of the new Nexus tablet. T-Mobile hasn’t mentioned the reasons for the delay but has promised to provide more word as and when it becomes available.
So if you were hoping to get your hands on a T-Mobile branded HTC Nexus 9 by the end of the holidays, you’re going to be disappointed. Google has the habit of launching the WiFi models of its Nexus tablets first, followed by the cellular variants a few months later. But in this case, the reason for the delay appears to be something else entirely.
The revelation was made by an internal T-Mobile document which has now leaked out. It merely says – “The launch of the Google Nexus 9 has been postponed. This article will be updated with the launch date once it is confirmed.” Although it leaves a lot of questions unanswered, that’s all we have to go with at the moment. Were you looking forward to getting the LTE Nexus 9 from T-Mobile?
