The Samsung Galaxy Note II on Sprint is expected to be receiving a minor firmware update on January 6. This left a lot of questions unanswered for us fans, mostly with regards to the future of updates on the device. And now, Samsung Poland has partially put all those worries to rest by mentioning the imminent arrival of the Android 5.0 update for the smartphone.
This list also mentions devices like the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S5 Mini is mentioned as well, but it was expected to receive the update all along, so no surprises there.
It’s good to know that Samsung is supporting a two year old flagship which is still stuck on Android 4.4 KitKat. The company doesn’t mention a release timeframe for these updates, so we might have to wait a while. The wait time could be even more for carrier variants of the smartphone, but it’s always good to know that an update is on the horizon.
