Samsung might decide against launching the Galaxy S6 Edge

Galaxy Note Edge

According to insider sources cited by Sam Mobile, Samsung might not launch a curved display variant of the Galaxy S6 next year. Earlier reports had mentioned that the Korean manufacturer was planning to launch the Galaxy S6 Edge along with the Galaxy S6, much like it did with the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge not too long ago.

However, the latest insider information has apparently revealed that although Samsung is working on a Galaxy S6 variant, the prototypes at the moment do not have a curved screen. And if the company doesn’t have a working prototype by now, it’s probably unlikely that this feature will make the cut with only a few months left for launch.

So what distinguishing feature could this Galaxy S6 variant possess? It’s hard to predict at the moment as Samsung has managed to surprise the market time and time again. However, we should get a brief idea of what the company intends to show off as we head into 2015.
