Samsung has now officially begun the Android 5.0.1 roll out for the Galaxy S5 in more regions of Europe, starting with Spain. This fresh batch of updates is currently being sent out to the SM-G900F model of the Samsung flagship, so make sure you’re on the lookout for an update if you own the device.
This means Samsung has fulfilled its promise of rolling out the update before the end of 2014, at least for one of its flagships. The Galaxy Note 4 can receive the update sometime in January, so don’t lose hope if you’re still waiting for the update.
Carrier variants of the Galaxy S5 in the U.S. might have to wait a few more weeks to receive the update, which isn’t a surprise. But it’s good to know that Samsung has already begun the roll out of the latest version of Android for its flagship handset.
Do you own the aforementioned model of the Galaxy S5? Make sure you let us know if you’ve received the update already.
