The Sony Xperia Z4 is just a couple of months away from launch if internet sources are accurate. And according to a new revelation, the smartphone could retain the same 5.2 inch display panel as we saw on the Xperia Z3. In the past, we’ve heard that the upcoming Sony flagship will sport a 5.4 or 5.5 inch Quad HD display, but that might not be the case. There’s no word on the display resolution here, but we won’t be surprised if Sony sticks with 1080p again.
In the processing department, it is said that the Xperia Z4 will run the octa core Snapdragon 810 chip although the screenshots clearly mention the Snapdragon 805. If Sony manages to unveil the Xperia Z4 at CES next month as rumors have hinted, then we might have to settle for the Snapdragon 805 as the Snapdragon 810 won’t go into production that early.
Keeping this in mind, it is likely that Sony will wait until the MWC to unveil the handset which should give them ample time to procure the Snapdragon 810 SoC in required quantities. Interestingly, the leak also makes a mention of Android 5.1, which is most likely a typo. We suggest you take this leak with a pinch of salt as it’s still pretty early in the day.
We will keep an eye out for more details on leaks regarding the device.
