Google unveiled and launched the HTC Nexus 9 in October. However, the tablet was sold in a solitary WiFi only model with the promise of the LTE version arriving subsequently. It has now come to light that Google and HTC could be finally looking to launch the tablet as early as this Thursday on the 4th of December.
The report comes from a Swedish retailer who claims that pre-orders of the tablet will start shipping out to customers this Thursday. This isn’t necessarily a confirmation of the tablet’s launch in the U.S., but considering that HTC is prepping the launch in Europe, it’s only fair to assume that the device will be made available in the U.S. as well.
Google has traditionally delayed the launch of the cellular models of its tablets, so this isn’t exactly new to us. However, HTC and Google wouldn’t want to wait any longer as the holidays are approaching and shoppers frequent stores more often this time of the year.
