Google now rolling out Android 5.0.1 OTA update for the WiFi Nexus 7 (2013) and the Nexus 10

Android 5.0.1

The 2013 Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 tablets are now seeing the Android 5.0.1 update. This comes after Google posted factory images of the update a couple of days ago. Strangely, Google hasn’t started the rollout of the update for the Nexus 9 yet, but expect that to happen anytime before the weekend.

There’s no word on what changes the update brings, but it should be mostly bug fixes. We’ll provide more details on the changes as Google posts the change log. If you’re already seeing the update, make sure you let us know if you see anything changed.

You can download the update manually from the links provided below. But unlike flashing a factory image, this doesn’t wipe the contents of your device. Sadly, there’s still no word or sight of the Android 5.0 update for the cellular models of the Nexus 7. Perhaps Google will directly rollout the Android 5.0.1 update for the tablet rather than issuing two updates.
