We’ve seen multiple video demonstrations of the Android 5.0 update running on the Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and even the Galaxy Note 3. Today, we’re having a peek of the latest flavor of Android as seen on the current Samsung flagship, the Galaxy Note 4. The smartphone is expected to be the first in line to get the update later this month, so it’s only fair that we’re getting a closer look at its functioning. As with previous video demos of Android 5.0, this one too comes from the reliable folks over at Sam Mobile.
As for the functionality, the smartphone is revealed to be packing a heavy overlay of TouchWiz, much like what we saw on previous video demos. This is slightly disappointing for customers looking to get a more stock Android like experience on their Samsung flagship. Clearly, Samsung is in no mood to do away with the TouchWiz UI anytime soon.
The good news however is that there could be a couple of nifty new features to look forward to, especially in the drop down notifications bar. It has also been said that Samsung will introduce a new themes section by default, allowing customers to change the look and feel of the device as they please.
