WhatsApp gets more secure with a new end-to-end encryption for messages

WhatsApp is one of the most popular cross platform messaging apps used globally. This naturally means that a lot of messages are sent and received each day. And with all the growing security concerns in mind, the makers of WhatsApp have decided to introduce a new end-to-end encryption feature for its messages, which makes it one of the most secure messaging apps on Android.

This means that messages cannot be screened even if WhatsApp wants to go through them, so the conversations will only remain between the parties involved. The social giant has teamed up with Open Whisper Systems which is renowned for its TextSecure applications. It is being said that it took the team nearly six months to finish developing the necessary code to put this feature in place.

It’s very refreshing to know that WhatsApp is taking user security very seriously. This feature is available on Android at the moment while iPhone users are expected to get the feature sometime in the near future.
