Verizon is all set to unveil the successor to the Ellipsis tablet from last year, according to a new listing on its official online store. But unlike last year’s model, the refreshed version will pack a larger 8 inch display. The pricing is suggested to be $149.99 if you’re getting it on contract or $249.99 if you want to get it sans contract.
Although Verizon hasn’t exactly announced the tablet yet, its online listing spills the beans on hardware as well. Expectedly, the device is not a high end offering but has decent specs to back up the price tag. Its design is very reminiscent of the HTC smartphones that we see around us, especially the way the front facing speakers have been designed.
The tablet is shown to be packing an 8 inch 720p display, a 1.5 GHz quad core SoC, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a 5,000 mAh battery and what appears to be a relatively stock version of Android 4.4 KitKat. The tablet will also offer support for Verizon’s 4G LTE signals by default, so it’s a pretty capable device out of the box despite the budget price tag.
