The OnePlus One is still not widely available for interested customers and we’re already hearing talk of a successor. According to an unnamed tipster cited by The Times of India, the next gen OnePlus flagship will sport more customization options, probably with more Style Swap covers available at launch. The company discontinued sales of these covers for the OnePlus One citing manufacturing issues, so it will look to rectify those concerns in time for the successor’s launch.
It goes without saying that OnePlus will keep the low cost factor going with the new handset, so don’t expect it to go heavy on your wallets. It is being said that the pricing will be kept under $500, which when coupled with high end hardware, could be tough to beat in the current market atmosphere. However, none of this will make much of a difference if the company is not able to produce the smartphone in adequate quantities.
What do you think of a OnePlus One successor launching next year?
