Google Keep finally receives the Material Design update

Google Keep Logo

Google Keep for Android has just been updated with Android’s new Material Design UI. We’ve seen a wide range of Google apps such as the Play Store, Play Music, Play Books, Newsstand and Maps getting the update, but strangely it has taken Google this long to bring an update to what is just a very basic note taking app.

Nevertheless, it’s here now and brings the UI which we’ve come to adore in the aforementioned apps. Apart from the visual changes, Google has also squashed some bugs and brought the usual suite of performance tweaks. Keep in mind that the update changes the version number of the app to 3.0.1.

If you’re a frequent user of Google Keep and can’t wait for the update to manually hit your smartphone or tablet, head over to this link to sideload the apk file. It’s coming straight from Google and is certified to be secure, so you can download it without worry.
