As we mentioned yesterday, AT&T’s variant of the Motorola Nexus 6 has just gone up for pre-order today with a contract price of $249.99. But we didn’t have word on the estimated shipping date of the smartphone. And AT&T’s listing has now shed light on that too with a November 18 shipping date being mentioned.
It has to be seen whether the carrier will be able to live up to its word, as T-Mobile, which was expected to launch the smartphone today, delayed the arrival of the smartphone until November 19. Sprint is expected to start selling the smartphone this Friday on Nov.14, so it could be the first carrier to officially sell the smartphone.
Google and Motorola have been struggling to keep up with the demand for the smartphone and have suffered stock related issues over the past couple of weeks. This appears to be a repeat of 2012 all over again when the Nexus 4 launch suffered similar issues after going live through the Play Store. Since Google is offering the smartphone through carrier outlets this year, the demand has obviously increased. Customers hope that Motorola and Google will figure out the stock issues in time for the holiday season.
