AT&T only recently started selling the Nexus 6 to customers who pre-ordered the device and we’re hearing of a potential issue already. According to internal AT&T messages, the carrier is sending out existing stock of the Nexus 6 smartphone due to some software related issues. This software bug reportedly leads to trouble with gaining proper connection as well as a black screen issue while the device is turned out, thus forcing AT&T to return all units of the smartphone.
Right on cue, the smartphone has gone out of stock from AT&T’s website. The leaked image mentions that only the initial batch of the AT&T Nexus 6 stocks have been impacted by this particular glitch, but Motorola will be replacing them all just to be safe. Bear in mind that not all devices are facing these particular issues, so there’s no cause for concern just yet.
But it might make sense to get in touch with the carrier about this so that you can get a replacement unit. If you got a Nexus 6 outside of AT&T however, there’s absolutely no need for concern at this point as the issue is specific to this particular variant of the Nexus 6.
