Just as Sprint began rolling out the Android 4.4.4 update for the Galaxy S5 today, another Samsung device is seeing the update, but from AT&T. The carrier’s version of the Galaxy Note 3 is the latest Samsung device to get the update with some new features in tow. The update comes with some Samsung specific apps like Kids Mode, Knox 2.0 and Side Sync 3.0 with the usual range of bug fixes and patches.
The update is a hefty 459MB in size, which can be accredited to the multitude of Samsung specific features and AT&T bloatware packed with the update. The camera of the smartphone has received a new virtual tour mode which is a nifty feature to have. The Uber app also comes pre-installed with the device after the update.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 started getting the Android 4.4.4 update back in late October along with the Galaxy S5, so customers have only waited a few weeks before receiving the update on their carrier branded Galaxy Note 3. Have you started seeing the update? Let us know.
