While the Sony Xperia Z3 has barely made it into the markets, we’re already hearing about a new variant of the device known as the Xperia Z3X. This will reportedly be an upgraded version of the current flagship with a drastically improved hardware. The device has also made its way to AnTuTu benchmarks sporting a 6.2 inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The highlight of this rumored device however is the new curved 22-megapixel sensor with a 2/3 inch sensor and f/1.2 aperture. It seems like a pretty stellar device, although the corresponding render of the device looks too good to be true.
There’s an unusually shaped camera sensor on the back which makes us skeptical about the image. But it is very likely that Sony is testing the smartphone in its labs which explains the device making its way to the benchmarks listing. Either way, we suggest you to take this information with a pinch of salt for the time being as there’s no confirmation available at the moment. The Xperia Z3X will reportedly hit the markets in 2015, so maybe we’ll have more info in the coming months.
