Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could be banned in the U.S.

Galaxy Note 4

It seems like Samsung’s troubles are quantifying by the day. As we all know, NVIDIA has filed a patent infringement suit against Samsung and its Exynos range of chipsets. The lawsuit also covers Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400, 600, 800, 801 and 805 chipsets which are allegedly violating some GPU related patents held by NVIDIA. As a result, the company is asking for a ban on the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Note Pro and the Galaxy Tab 2.

The Galaxy Note 4 is already seeing some issues before its launch and this fresh controversy is not doing any favors for Samsung. It goes without saying that Samsung will put its best lawyers against NVIDIA in defense of these allegations. NVIDIA has mentioned that the International Trade Commission is looking to investigate whether the devices mentioned in NVIDIA’s list are infringing on the said patents.

Samsung has already seen enough trouble for infringing on multiple Apple design patents and it seems like this new patent suit will stretch for the months to come.
