The Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone has just been spotted on GFX Bench sporting a 5.2 inch display and a Snapdragon 615 (64-bit) chip. The smartphone is set to be third in the line of Samsung’s premium metal clad smartphones after the Galaxy Alpha and the yet to be launched Galaxy A5. Fortunately, the Galaxy A7 is revealed to be sporting a 1080p display, which indicates that the manufacturer is targeting the high end segment.
The benchmark listing also reveals that the smartphone is carrying a 12-megapixel camera sensor, a 5-megapixel front camera, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM and the aforementioned octa-core 1.5 GHz chipset. Strangely, the device is shown to be launching with Android 4.4.4. But that shouldn’t be a major concern as the company would rollout an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop pretty soon.
Reports have suggested that the Galaxy A7 will break cover sometime in November carrying a price tag of $500, which is reasonable for a device of this caliber. The highlight of the device however will be the metal chassis which was very well received on the Galaxy Alpha.
