A couple of days ago, we came across a comprehensive press render of the Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone which gave us a brief look of the front portion. We’re now coming across a newer leak which shows the device being used in public, possibly by a Motorola or Google employee. Since the smartphone is technically not official yet, it has been enclosed in a shell case in order to protect its identity. We can however notice the re-positioned power and volume keys along with the front facing stereo speakers, so it appears to be a legitimate leak.
What’s odd however is the fact that the handset doesn’t look all that big in the user’s hands. This could be due to the angle of the image taken or maybe the user simply has large hands, but it looks fairly decent for a 5.9 inch smartphone. We can see that the device is running Android L, thanks to the navigation buttons on the bottom and the redesigned status bar. There’s also a heart icon on the top left, which could possibly have something to do with Google Fit.
Since we’re heading closer towards the launch of the smartphone, there might be more such leaks in the future. This pretty much confirms that the Motorola Nexus 6 is real and we’re in for a phablet sized Nexus smartphone this year.
