The LG G Watch R smartwatch will officially hit the South Korean markets next week on the 14th of October according to a statement issued by the company. This initial phase of rollout will only include LG’s home region, so Europe, North America and other parts of Asia will be left out. However, the manufacturer won’t wait long before bringing the wearable to prime markets. Considering that it’s the company’s second go at Android Wear, there will be high hopes from the fans.
The company seems to have accurately gauged the interest in the market for a proper circular display smartwatch after the demand seen by the Moto 360. There’s no word on the pricing of the G Watch R yet, but we’re guessing it will be somewhere around the $250 range considering the fact that it’s competing primarily with the Moto 360 in the smartwatch arena. We’ll keep you posted with any new information we get on the global launch of the G Watch R.
