The LG G Watch R was launched in South Korea just a few weeks ago. But the company is all set to expand the availability to Europe starting with the UK. The smartwatch will be available for purchase in the region starting tomorrow. Pricing has been set at £229 ($367) and £224 ($359) through Unlocked Mobiles and Clove UK respectively.
This is slightly more expensive compared to the Moto 360 which sells for approximately £199 ($319) in the region. We’re not really sure if the G Watch R warrants the premium price tag, but expect the cost to come down a notch as the device matures in the market.
The G Watch R features identical hardware as the current crop of Android Wear devices, with the only distinguishing factor being the circular display. Even compared to the Moto 360, the G Watch R has a truly circular display which could be attractive to prospective customers. With the European launch commencing, we can almost sense that the G Watch R launch is on its way to the U.S. Would you pick the G Watch R over the Moto 360? Sound off below.
