Huawei Ascend Mate 2 now available via Newegg

Huawei Ascend Mate 2

Customers in the U.S. can now purchase the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 from popular retailer Newegg, in addition to getting it from Huawei’s official web store. The smartphone is sold unlocked and off contract for $300, so nothing’s different in that regard. The company is offering a two sided micro USB cable which can share power from the smartphone’s massive 3,900 mAh battery to other devices.

The Ascend Mate 2 comes with a 6.1 inch 720p display, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.6 GHz Snapdragon 400 quad core chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable) and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the company’s EMUI skin on top. Newegg has the smartphone in both black and white color combinations.

The real highlight feature of this mammoth smartphone is the large battery that it packs inside. The ability to charge up other devices using its own battery is something very unique. Since the smartphone has been priced close to $300, it can be considered a budget device. Make sure you check out the Newegg listing below to see if the Ascend Mate 2 strikes your fancy.
