After months of speculation, the HTC-made Nexus 9 is now official. It runs Android 5.0, which now has the official name of Lollipop. It has all of the rumored specs at the expected prices.
The Nexus 9 has an 8.9″ 2K screen with a resolution of 2048×1536 and weighing 436 grams. Powering this tablet’s screen is an Nvidia Tegra TK1 64-bit dual-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. It has an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.6 MP front-facing camera.
Users who enjoy watching Movies or TV Shows, or enjoy playing games will be delighted to know that the Nexus 6 has front-facing Boomsound speakers.
There are different colors as well, including Black, White, and Brown. There’s a folio keyboard that is sold separately as well, allowing you to work on the tablet if you want a physical keyboard.
The Nexus 9 comes in both Wifi and LTE models. For LTE, you will be able to use it with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon in the US. For other countries, see compatibility here.
It starts at $399 for a 16 GB Wifi only model, and goes up from there. Pre-orders will start October 17 and it will be in stores starting November 3rd. Will you be picking up this new tablet?
