Google is expected to begin selling the Nexus 9 tablets starting November 3. And now the company has officially confirmed that it will begin the rollout of Android 5.0 to a select few devices on the same day. The revelation was made by a reminder message posted by Google to remind developers that they have to port and modify their apps accordingly before the big unveiling on Nov 3.
It is said that WiFi only Nexus tablets such as the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 will be receiving the update first followed by smartphones and cellular variants of the tablets.
This is not really a surprise considering what we’ve heard over the past week or so, but it’s always good to have confirmation coming straight from the source that matters. It is also being said that Google will unveil Android Wear 2.0 on November 3, so we might be in for quite a treat this November.
Nexus smartphones and cellular tablets might have to wait until the end of November to receive the Android 5.0 update officially, as Google is only rolling out the update to WiFi models.
