The second gen Moto G is now selling through Best Buy for just $179.99. This comes a day after AT&T announced plans to launch the first gen Moto G with LTE on its networks starting this Friday. The latest Motorola offering can be purchased through Amazon as well, although shipping reportedly takes several weeks, so Best Buy is probably your best bet if you want the device soon.
The smartphone was also sold through Motorola’s official website during its initial launch, but went out of stock pretty quickly. The smartphone packs a 5 inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 2-megapixel front camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a quad core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 chipset, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a 2,070 mAh battery.
Best Buy is also offering in-store pickup with the smartphone in addition to the standard one day shipping. The model offered here lacks 4G LTE connectivity, so customers will have to make do with 3G HSPA networks. Motorola plans to launch an LTE variant sometime soon, possibly within the next few months.
