Android 4.4.4 factory image now available for the 2013 LTE Nexus 7

2013 Nexus 7

Google has just posted the factory image for the 2013 LTE Nexus 7 tablet after a prolonged wait by users. The posting of the factory image and the corresponding binaries comes over three months after Google began the rollout of Android 4.4.4 to its Nexus devices. So if you’ve been waiting to get access to these image files in order to work on a custom ROM or flash it manually to your device, you can go ahead and download them.

Google has faced delays with update rollouts for the 2013 LTE Nexus 7 before, so this is barely a surprise to us. But the fact that a Nexus device has to see such delays is a little discomforting for customers. Google is launching the Android L release for its Nexus 7 tablets in the coming month, so we hope to see a change in the rollout time by then.

Head over to the Google Developers page below to access the Android 4.4.4 factory image and binaries for the 2013 Nexus 7 with LTE.
