Verizon customers are now able to upgrade their devices a couple of months ahead of schedule. This is if your upgrade due date is on or before November 15. The carrier claims that this is a limited period promotion, with no word on its duration just yet, so it might not be long before they decide to pull the plug.
Considering that the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus were launched only recently, a move like this was much expected from Verizon. By allowing customers to upgrade early, the carrier is allowing them to buy the latest devices in the market. The carrier might have some leeway for subscribers who have their upgrade due date after the 15th of November, so make sure you get in touch with Verizon for more details on that.
The change will reportedly take place instantaneously and all you will need to do is head over to your MyVerizon account and see the revised upgrade date. With devices like the LG G3 as well as the Samsung Galaxy S5 available and the yet to be launched Galaxy Note 4 on the cards, customers might be keen to upgrade their devices ahead of schedule.
