T-Mobile is now rolling out an update to the LG G3, changing the build number to KVT49L.D85110m. The update finally brings the WiFi calling feature to the smartphone. Users are also claiming that the update brings improvements to auto screen brightness. The carrier suggests that customers need to have at least 156MB of data left in their cellular plan in order to go ahead with the update, while the battery is recommended to be at 50% or higher.
Given the nature of this update, the software version remains unchanged at Android 4.4.2, so don’t expect anything new as far as the UI is concerned. LG is yet to begin the rollout of Android 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 for the LG G3 while the likes of HTC and Samsung have almost finished the rollout for their respective flagships. There’s no word on how much longer it will take the LG G3 to get the latest version of Android KitKat.
