T-Mobile customers will be pleased to know that the Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone will be breaking cover relatively soon. The device was expected to be launched via the carrier and now we have clarification coming directly from its product department. In response to a user query, T-Mobile’s senior product official Des said that the device is a “little ways away”, but reiterated that it’s only weeks away and not months.
The Sony Xperia Z3 is currently available only in a handful of countries across the globe, so not everybody has access to the smartphone right now. Verizon is expected to be launching its very own variant of the handset sometime soon known as the Xperia Z3V, so Sony clearly has a better shot of succeeding with its flagship this time.
Sony’s Xperia flagships have been predominantly sold through T-Mobile as well as the company’s standalone stores unlocked and off contract. But the addition of Verizon will go a long way in convincing the customers of the smartphone’s true potential. It is likely that Sony will launch the smartphone simultaneously via Verizon and T-Mobile.
@IAmQMobley We're still a little ways away – but we're talking weeks rather than months

The Xperia Z3 packs a 5.2 inch 1920 x 1080 resolution display, a 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS camera sensor, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a 3,100 mAh battery. The smartphone also has front facing speakers, making it one of the few modern flagships to pack the feature with the other being the HTC One M8 and the new Moto X. The Xperia Z3 is IP68 certified making it immune to water splashes and dust, so it’s a truly capable flagship as far as the hardware is concerned.
