A new teaser posted by Droid Landing on Twitter suggests that Motorola and Verizon will be launching a new Droid smartphone as soon as next month. And unlike last year when the company launched a trio of Droid handsets, this time the company will only focus on one handset. So this handset will probably be similar to the Moto X, but with a few added carrier bloatware and some other features such as a Kevlar back pattern and a slightly changed design.
Interestingly, the device is expected to be packing a large battery inside combined with a fast charging technology to keep the device going for longer. There’s no word on the specifics yet, but we’re guessing this will be a combination of last year’s Droid Ultra and the Droid Maxx, thus giving users the best of both devices.
The fast charging technology is seen on the new Moto X as well, although the device doesn’t have a praiseworthy battery backup. But we’re sure Motorola will have learnt its lesson from the Moto X and will make the necessary changes with the upcoming Droid handset.
Will you be looking forward to the new Droid smartphone from Motorola and Verizon?
