We’ve been speculating about the launch and hardware of the Moto X successor for quite a few months now. And all this while, we were under the impression that the device would be known as the Moto X+1. However, a leaked Verizon document contradicts this theory by mentioning the upcoming Motorola flagship as the “The new Moto X”.
This makes sense as we’ve only recently encountered a Moto G leak which suggested a similar naming pattern for the handset. Going by this, it’s fair to assume that we will be looking at the new Moto X and the new Moto G this Wednesday when the company formally makes the announcement in Chicago.
The leaked Verizon document also reveals the Bamboo variant of the smartphone as well as the storage options available with the new Moto X. There’s no mention of a 64GB model here, so it seems like the customers will have to make do with 16 and 32GB models.
What’s your take on the naming process?
