As we all know, the LG G Flex from last year has a very unique flexible design. So it was only natural that the manufacturer would jump in on the criticism that Apple is seeing over reports of the iPhone 6 Plus bending under pressure. This has led to a Twitter trend called #bendgate where thousands of users have poked fun at Apple. LG however, had its own unique touch to the mockery. By showing an image of the LG G Flex, the manufacturer merely said – “Our phone doesn’t bend, it flexes…on purpose. #bendgate.”

It is clear that rivals aren’t letting go of this obvious flaw in Apple’s design and it goes without saying that this is not the last we’ll hear of it. LG is expected to be launching a successor to the G Flex smartphone soon, so this could be perfect timing for the Korean manufacturer. The G Flex handset comes with a curved flexible OLED display, making it immune to bending or flexing. It has been available from Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T for quite a while now, although the market hasn’t been very kind towards it.
