The LG G Watch R grabbed the headlines last week when it was first shown off. Earlier today, the company showed off the wearable in detail to the attendees of the IFA 2014 event in Berlin. Unfortunately, the company refrained from giving out any specifics about the launch date. But according to The Wall Street Journal, the smartphone could break cover as soon as the 14th of October.
Bear in mind, there’s no confirmation directly from LG yet, so we’re treating this as plain speculation until then. But the time frame makes sense given that the device was expected to be part of the company’s plans for quite some time now. And LG would also want to be the first to have a circular display Android Wear smartwatch in the market. However, Motorola might just beat LG to the finish as the company is expected to share more details on launch and pricing of the Moto 360 during its Chicago event later today.
