It has been a while since the LG G Pad 8.3 hit the markets. And as the demand for the tablet diminishes, it’s common to see retailers offering attractive discounts. Newegg has done something similar today by waiving $125 off the asking price of the G Pad 8.3, bringing the price down to just $224.99. Although Newegg claims the original price of the tablet is $350, the device is available for much cheaper through other online retailers.
The G Pad 8.3 was also launched in a Google Play Edition model, but it has disappeared a while ago from the Play Store. The standard variant is no slouch as far as performance is concerned, but customers can always opt to flash custom ROMs of their choice if the native user interface is not to their liking. Newegg hasn’t mentioned how long the deal will last, so it could end sooner than expected.
The LG G Pad 8.3 packs a 8.3 inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display, a quad core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot, a 5-megapixel camera on the back coupled with a 1.3-megapixel front facing shooter, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 4,600 mAh battery.
