HTC announced the Desire 510 midrange handset late last week. And today we’re seeing the company’s upcoming midrange handset, known as the Desire 820 making an appearance in leaks. This device is shown to be packing the Snapdragon 615 chipset.
This is Qualcomm’s latest 64-bit octa core chipset and a slightly upgraded variant of the Snapdragon 410 which is running on the Desire 510. The Desire 820 is also shown to be packing a 5.5 inch 720p display, front facing speakers, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, an 8-megapixel front facing shooter, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,600 mAh battery.
The smartphone has already made appearances in images, so we have a brief idea of what to expect from the device later this week. The smartphone is your conventional HTC midranger but with the privilege of being the first handset to run the Snapdragon 615 chipset. HTC is expected to show off the smartphone in detail during this week’s IFA event. The images bear resemblance to the Desire 816, so take them with a grain of salt until we have more clarification.
