Google created quite a stir a few months ago when it showed off Project Tango and its wide array of 3D specific features. However, the company hasn’t formally announced a commercial device based on Project Tango yet. But that might change soon if an FCC listing is anything to go by. This listing has revealed the existence of a tablet from Google, running an NVIDIA Tegra SoC inside and an LG made battery. Could this be the rumored LG made Project Tango tablet? Seems very likely given that the battery running on the device is made by the Korean manufacturer.
There are no images of the devices available yet as it’s merely an FCC listing, but we should have that soon as well. The tablet is expected to feature a 7 inch display with a 1080p resolution, the NVIDIA Tegra K1 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, similar to the Project Tango Development Kit which was announced a few months ago.
The tablet revealed in the FCC listing has the model number NX-74751, which can be used for future reference. Google appears to be quite busy with this alleged Project Tango tablet as well as the Nexus 9 which is expected to break cover next month. Are you looking forward to the company’s first commercially available Project Tango tablet?
