U.S. Cellular, Verizon and AT&T have officially confirmed plans to launch the new Moto X. There’s still no word on when the smartphone will break cover, but we should hear more about it from the carriers in the coming days. Verizon is rumored to be launching the Motorola flagship on the 25th of September, so we might not have to wait long after all.
While AT&T and Verizon are expected to offer Moto Maker customization to the buyers, there’s no word on whether U.S. Cellular will offer the same luxury to its customers. Either way, it’s good to know that Motorola is teaming up with a handful of carriers right from the start. We should hear more about the Sprint and T-Mobile variant in the coming days as well, although neither carrier has come forward until now.
The Moto X packs a 5.2 inch 1080p display, a 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 2,300 mAh battery and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The smartphone also has front facing stereo speakers and a unique ring LED flash for the rear camera.
