ASUS has just unveiled the latest iteration of the MeMO Pad 7 tablet sporting a Full HD display as well as a relatively low price tag. People familiar with the series will know that this isn’t the first MeMO Pad tablet coming from the Taiwanese maker. ASUS is touting a fiberglass design with a “duralumin frame”, thus making the new MeMO Pad 7 stand out from the predecessor.
The display resolution has been improved to 1920 x 1080, there’s also 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, Intel’s Z3560 quad core 64-bit processor with a clock speed of 1.83 GHz and Android 4.4 KitKat. At launch, ASUS will offer the MeMO Pad 7 in a WiFi only version with plans to launch a LTE model sometime in Q4. The tablet will be available in Black, Gold and Red color variants during launch for an estimated price of €199 ($262).
ASUS is yet to share details on launch markets, but it’s fair to guess that the device will be available in Asia initially with markets to follow suit.
